Our services
Artistic essence
Restoration and conservation
We specialize in the study and restoration of paintings, mixed media, and traditional works, using our expertise to preserve artistic heritage. Our work focuses primarily on works dating from the 19th century, as well as major artistic movements such as Impressionism, Modern Art, and Contemporary Art.
Each intervention is carried out with the greatest care, respecting the authenticity and integrity of the work, while using techniques adapted to the original materials and conservation requirements. Whether for one-off consolidation work, surface cleaning or varnish removal, or a more complex restoration, we are committed to restoring the works to a good state of conservation while respecting their history and their material specificity.
Inspections
Collection maintenance
We ensure the longevity of your artwork through thorough inspections and tailored preventive conservation strategies. Our services include optimizing climatic conditions (humidity, temperature, light), environmental monitoring, and pest management to prevent deterioration.
We support your teams with advice and training on the safe handling, storage, and transportation of artworks. We also optimize packaging to ensure their protection, particularly during loans and relocations. Through this rigorous approach, we preserve the integrity and value of your collections for future generations.
Conservation
Condition reports
Condition reports are essential for assessing the condition of artworks and ensuring their optimal preservation. We conduct detailed appraisals for private collections, museums, exhibitions, and auction houses, particularly during acquisitions and sales.
Each report includes a thorough technical examination, photographic documentation, and conservation recommendations. We also offer reports for insurance or litigation purposes. Using 4D Artmyn© technology, we can offer advanced digital analyses, including infrared examination and automatic alteration detection with the ADDA system. Remote examinations are also available for fast and reliable assessment.
Know-how
Investigation technique, expertise
The workshop uses cutting-edge analysis to identify materials, painting techniques, and alterations in artworks. Using non-invasive methods, it can study their authenticity and state of preservation, as well as the impacts of previous restorations.
Advanced Imaging:
- SPECIM IQ VNIR hyperspectral camera (400-1000nm).
-Fiber Optic Reflectance Spectroscopy (FORS) 200-1000nm and 950-1650nm.
-Wave lenghts of monochromatic lights.
-1000nm infrared camera and high power IR lamp for through-hole investigation.
Scientific partnerships: Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Keyence VHX-7000 4K high-resolution microscope, thanks to the kind collaboration of the University of Geneva.
These technologies guarantee rigorous analysis, essential for the preservation and authentication of works.
Transmission
Formations
I provide practical training on the handling, transportation, and storage of artworks, with an emphasis on preventive conservation. My goal is to help your teams prevent damage, preserve artworks, and effectively manage collections, whether public or private. These training sessions are aimed at professionals in the sector: museums, galleries, foundations, specialized transporters, and collectors.
In 2024, we launched a collaboration with EILIOA – International School of Art Logistics in Paris. These specialized courses, combining theory and practice, allow participants to acquire advanced and practical skills, thus contributing to the professionalization of the sector and the transmission of essential know-how.
